Two Govt hospitals of U’khand receive GoI certification
SPS Hospital, Rishikesh and CHC, Raipur have been given certification for providing quality health services

The Government of India has certified two government hospitals of Uttarakhand for providing better health services. The health secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey said that the SPS Hospital, Rishikesh and the Community Health Centre (CHC), Raipur have been given certification by the government of India after a central team visited these hospitals. He said that a quality assurance programme is being undertaken by the government of India under the National Health Mission (NHM) for improving the quality of health services. The objective of the programme is to increase the confidence of the general public in the government hospitals and instill a sense of competition among hospitals for providing quality health services. Pandey said that SPS hospital Rishikesh has been found to fulfill the norms in all the six departments being operational in the hospital after which it was given National Quality Assurance Standards ( NQAS) with 90 per cent score. Similarly LaQshya certification has been given to CHC Raipur and SPS Rishikesh for meeting quality standards of labour room and Maternity Operation Theater (OT).
