In latest Uttarakhand news, Nainital milk producers’ cooperative federation has launched one milk booth/cafe each at the roadways bus station and the divisional transportation office in Haldwani by way of providing better facilities to the Aanchal milk consumers. During the launching of these two new milk booths, among those present were the MLA Sumit Hridayesh , district panchayat chairperson Bela Tolia, Haldwani mayor Jogendra Singh Rautela and district BJP chief Pratap Bisht. They all appreciated this launching on the part of the federation, saying that this would not just facilitate the Aanchal milk consumers get milk at one place but would raise the credibility of Aanchal milk as quality milk among the people. Speaking on the occasion, the president of the federation Mukesh Bora said that this initiative has been taken while acting on the instructions of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the State Cabinet minister Saurabh Bahuguna. “This move will definitely enhance self-employment prospects of the youths of the State,” he said and added that the federation would run 218 milk booths across the State while 17 booths would be run in Nainital district. Besides, five milk booths would become operational in Nainital this week. He further said that aside from launching new milk booths, they would launch milk quality awareness campaign to help the people refrain from buying chemical-laced milk.
