Two men died following an accident near Jassowala on the Dehradun Vikasnagar road in the wee hours of Wednesday. The officials informed that the police received information that a motorcycle crashed near Jassowala. Upon reaching the scene, the police found that the two men, who were traveling from Sahaspur towards Herbertpur Vikasnagar were lying on the road along with their crashed motorcycle.
The officials said that the injured men were immediately taken to the Vikasnagar hospital via 108 ambulance, where doctors declared both of them dead. They informed that the deceased have been identified as Abhishek Negi (25) and Rohit Singh (23), both residents of Kanda village in Rudraprayag district. Both victims worked at a company on Langha Road, Sahaspur.
The officials said that the families have been notified and the process for Panchnama and post-mortem will be done after their arrival. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation, the officials added.
