Stating that the education department took the decision to reopen schools in Uttarakhand to benefit the owners of private schools while ignoring the welfare of students, the Uttarakhand Abhibhavak Sangh (UAS) has announced a protest against the State Government on Saturday.
According to the President of the association, Ram Kumar Singhal, the government has issued orders without consulting the parents. The government is not even taking action against those schools which have charged full school fees throughout the year in the name of tuition fees from financially weak parents, said Singhal. He added that the protesting parents will also meet the Dehradun district magistrate to present their concerns before him.
