The director of the Uttarakhand Biotechnology Council (Biotech Department), Haldi, Pantnagar, Sanjay Kumar was presented the National Award (National Fellow) at the fifth annual convention of the National Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Animal Welfare. The vice chancellor of the Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University, Jabalpur, MP, Dr SP Tiwari, president of the Veterinary Council of India, Dr Umesh Sharma, IVRI former vice chancellor and director Dr MC Sharma, president of the National Academy of Veterinary Nutrition and Welfare Society and Director, ICAR- Central Buffalo Research Institute, Dr NN Pathak and organising secretary Sunil Nayak conferred this honour on Kumar.
Kumar was given this award for his outstanding work in the field of science. About 250 eminent professors, scientists, research scholars and directors of various institutions of the country were present on the occasion.
