In latest news from Doon, reiterating that the State government was a few steps away from implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami wrote on X formerly Twitter that the eagerly awaited act would not just ensure equal rights for all the citizens living in the State but help protect the true identity of the Devbhoomi. Notably, the UCC bill had been passed in the State Assembly in February last year.
