UCO Bank’s business  grows by 13.56 per cent  in second quarter

UCO Bank‘s managing director and CEO Ashwani Kumar said that the bank had performed remarkably in the quarter of the financial year 2024-25 that ended on September 30. He announced details of the bank’s financial results for the second quarter through video conferencing which was broadcast from UCO Bank’s head office in Kolkata. He informed that in the second quarter, the total business of the bank had grown by 13.56 per cent year-on-year to ₹ 473704 crores. Gross loan had grown by 18 per cent year-on-year to ₹ 197927 crores and total deposits had grown by 10.57 per cent year-on-year to ₹ 275777 crores, he said. He further said that the net profit of the bank had grown by 50 per cent year-on-year from ₹ 402 crores in September 2023 to ₹603 crores in September 2024 and the operating profit had grown by 45.82 per cent year-on-year to ₹ 1432 crores while the net NPA had decreased by 38 bps to 0.73% . The bank’s growth in Retail, Agriculture and MSME. (RAM) segment was pegged at 20.16 per cent y-o-y to ₹1,08200.  

Kumar added that they have  started Project Parivartan focused on digital banking under which his bank has launched four new digital services to enable the customers get more and more facilities at home.
