The managing director and CEO of the United Commercial Bank (UCO Bank) Ashwani Kumar said that the performance of his bank for the third quarter of the Financial Year 2024-25 that ended on December 31, 2024 had significantly improved thanks to better management and customer friendly approach. He addressed the staff members of the bank virtually and presented the performance report on Friday. The programme was telecast from the bank’s headquarters in Kolkata.
He stated that an increase of 12.28 per cent has been registered in the gross transactions of the bank. The net profit for the third quarter that ended on December 31, 2024 has increased to Rs 639 crore as against the figure 503 crore in the last corresponding period which signifies a growth by 27.04 per cent. The operating profit for the period stands at Rs 1586 crore, signifying growth by 41.73 per cent. Moreover, the bank’s gross non-performing asset (NPA) fell 94 bps to 2.91 per cent while the net NPA ratio declined 35 bps to 0.63 per cent in the third quarter that ended on December 31, 2024.
