The University of Engineering and Technology, Roorkee (UETR) has entered a tie-up upGrad Campus. This agreement aims to prioritise initiatives that impact knowledge through immersive industry based learning. The courses are designed to level up students ‘ skills and help them meet the knowledge requirements in today’s fast-paced and tech- enabled business environment.
The institute’s group director Brij Mohan Singh said that both the institutes have agreed that artificial intelligence and cyber security courses at B-Tech level in the curriculum, as well as BBA and MBA courses in Business Analytics and Digital Marketing subjects will be offered jointly.
The institute’s executive director Charu Jain said that bringing down the education-employment gap to the lowest level is a top priority for UETR.
upGrad Campus CEO Amit Mahensaria said, “Collaboration is essential to bridge the gap between the domains of the industry and academia. The lack of industrial exposure in the education sector and the job readiness disconnect are prompting the domains to come together in solving real-world challenges.
