The Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan (UJS) has released the numbers of the nodal officers and control room to effectively address the complaints of drinking water and sewerage systems at the district level in the State.
The list has been released on the orders of UJS chief general manager, UJS, D K Singh, on the directives of the secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation department.
According to the order, the secretary has directed that upon receiving complaints from citizens regarding drinking water and sewerage, officials of Jal Sansthan and Peyjal Nigam should take immediate action and ensure timely redressal.
The order stated it has been directed that any kind of delay or laxity in resolving complaints will not be tolerated. The Head of the department will take immediate cognisance of such lapses and strict action will be taken against the officials concerned.
UJS and Peyjal Nigam have been instructed to establish better coordination among themselves and discharge their responsibilities with full accountability and sensitivity towards citizens.
