UJVN sets a new power generation record in August

The managing director of Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam (UJVN) Limited Sandeep Singhal said that the corporation-run power projects have generated 724.465 million units of electricity in August which marks the highest electricity generation in August of any year since its establishment. Earlier, the highest electricity generation in August was 721.990 million units, achieved in 2023.
Sharing more details, he said that 240 MW Chhibro Hydroelectric Project, 120 MW Khodri Hydroelectric Project and 120 MW Vyasi Hydroelectric Project had contributed to overall achievement by each recording highest power generation in August. He also appreciatively mentioned Kulhal, Tiloth, Cheela, Mohammadpur and Galogi projects of the corporation for having surpassed the power generation targets set for them for August.
Singhal ascribed the record production to better operation and maintenance of the machines of the power plants and exemplary work culture.
