Informing this on Friday, the managing director, UJVNL, Ajay Kumar Singh stated that PFC classifies state power generation institutions, Central government power undertakings and energy departments among others on a semi-annual basis. He informed that UJVNL has been classified as ‘A+’ based on its financial position for the financial year 2024-25 and the latest rating inputs provided by the corporation.
Singh further stated that this rating by PFC is effective from May 15 this year and would remain in effect until the next classification notification is issued.
Expressing gratitude to the chief minister, chief secretary and Energy secretary, Singh said that with their guidance and support, UJVNL has been continuously scaling new heights of achievements.
He assured that the ‘A+’ grade awarded by PFC would further enhance the corporation’s credibility and financial standing aside from helping it to raise financial resources on better terms for various projects in the future. “This achievement not only reflects the strong financial position, efficiency and improved performance of UJVNL but is also a significant achievement for the energy sector of Uttarakhand,” he asserted.
