UJVNL MD nominated as PMI regional ambassador

The managing director of UJVN Limited Sandeep Singhal was nominated as the Uttarakhand regional ambassador by the chairman and board of directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He was appointed during a seminar on Strategic Management and the Use of Artificial Intelligence organised by the Northern Region of the PMI in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Productivity Council (UPC) UJVNL on Saturday.
The seminar aimed to raise participants’ awareness of how strategic management and artificial intelligence can enhance project management and execution, particularly in addressing challenges faced by public sector organisations.
Speaking on the occasion, Singhal emphasised that utilising new technologies and effective working systems can help complete projects on time and provide timely solutions to potential issues that may arise during project execution. He noted the importance of strategic management and artificial intelligence, stating that these tools can enable project completion even under difficult and adverse conditions.
Reflecting on the efficient management strategies employed during the construction of the corporation’s 120 MW vyasi hydroelectric project, he further added that many projects worldwide faced delays due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Singhal further highlighted that in the energy sector, the application of these strategies can lead to improvements such as enhanced project efficiency, better power transmission and distribution, time savings and reduced costs.
During the programme, chairman of the PMI Jai Kumar, delivered the inaugural address and former chairman Pritam Gautam spoke on project management.
