17 projects of corporation generate 25.912 MU power in one day
Since the establishment of UJVN Limited, its hydro power plants have set a record of highest power generation in one day. The UJVNL managing director Sandeep Singhal informed that on July 28, the corporation’s 17 hydro power projects generated a total of 25.912 million units of electricity. This is the highest generation of electricity on any single day, he said. The UJVNL MD further informed that before this, the corporation’s projects had set the record of generating 25.434 million units on September 19 last year which was the highest electricity production by the corporation’s project on any single day till then. Singhal said that despite the difficult conditions resulting from heavy rain, floods and other related factors, the record power generation by the corporation’s projects is a result of the determination and dedication of the corporation’s personnel. Expressing happiness at the achievement of the UJVNL’s power plants, he said that this has been possible due to the better operation and maintenance of the machinery in the power plants and the commendable functioning of the personnel. He expressed hope that UJVNL will continue to set such records in the future too on the basis of its work culture and determination of its personnel.
