In latest news from Uttarakhand, the badminton team of Uttarakhand Electricity Sports Group won the silver medal in the 45th All-India Electricity Badminton Tournament organised by Himachal Pradesh Electricity Board Sports Organisation under the aegis of All- India Electricity Sports Control Board held in Solan in Himachal Pradesh. Sharing details, the general manager of Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL) G S Budiyal said that 15 teams from across the country had participated in the three-day competition and the Uttarakhand team comprised G S Budiyal, Gopal Singh, Lalit Kumar, Aditya Rathi, Rakshit Bhandari and Sumit Rana. Managing director, UJVN Limited, Sandeep Singhal congratulated the team on the best achievement so far in any competition organised by the All- India Electricity Sports Control Board. The members of the silver medal- winning badminton team ascribed their achievement to the help extended by the UJVNL management. The nodal officer of UJVNL central sports committee Sachin Dangwal said that the winning team would be felicitated by the corporation management in Dehradun.
