The UJVN Limited will make some of its projects joint ventures with THDC India Limited. This and other decisions were taken in the board meeting of UJVNL. The UJVNL managing director Sandeep Singhal informed that the board gave its approval in principle to establish a joint venture with THDCIL for constructing those of its projects which are located in remote areas, require a considerably large budget for construction and in constructing which various difficulties may be faced. In another decision, the UJVNL was authorised to construct and develop solar power projects on the vacant lands of the State government and various governmental organisations in order to effectively utilise the State’s solar energy potential, said Singhal.
