UJVNL to increase transformer capacity of switchyard at Lohiahead, Khatima

The managing director, Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (UJVNL), Sandeep Singhal said that the board of directors had approved the proposal to increase the capacity of the transformer in the 132 kV switchyard of Sharda Vidyut Grih Power Project located at Lohiahead, Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district from 80 MVA to 120 MVA. The 124th meeting of the board of directors of UJVNL was presided over by the State’s chief secretary Radha Raturi who is also the chairperson of UJVNL.
He further said that the transformers of the project were about 20 to 21 years old and presently, they were unable to meet the surging demand of the consumers. Moreover, the board of directors had approved to present the calculation of return on equity before the Electricity Regulatory Commission in accordance with the instructions given by the State government in December last year.
