UJVNL’s Tiloth power plant receives prestigious CBIP award

The Central Board of Irrigation and Power organised CBIP Day in New Delhi, where organisations and individual professionals were awarded for their outstanding achievements in water resources, power and non-conventional energy sectors.
The Tiloth power plant of 90 megawatt installed capacity of UJVNL located in the border district of Uttarkashi was awarded the Best Performing Hydro Power Project. The prestigious award was received by UJVNL managing director Sandeep Singhal from the Central Electricity Authority chairman Ghanshyam Prasad and Central Water Commission chairman MK Sinha.
The Tiloth power plant was selected for this award based on its remarkable increase in electricity generation, excellent compliance with safety and environmental standards and overall outstanding performance. Expressing delight over this achievement, Singhal attributed the success to the dedication and hardwork of UJVNL officers and employees. He said that UJVNL has carved out a distinct identity in the energy sector through its excellent work culture.
