The Uttarakhand government has imposed a ban on strikes in the State government services for a period of six months. Invoking the provisions of the Essential Services Maintenance Act 196, secretary Personnel Shailesh Bagauli issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday. The order prohibits strikes in State services for a period of six months from the date of issuance in public interest.
