Issues of unemployment, paper leak, lathi charge on youth & Ankita Bhandari murder on party’s agenda for Gairsain

Even as the Pushkar Singh Dhami government is planning to highlight its achievements and bring forth its vision for the State in the budget during the upcoming session of the Assembly at Bharadisain in Gairsain, the opposition Congress is gearing itself to corner the government on many issues. The Congress has decided to take up the paper leak cases and the lathi-charge on the unemployed youths in a big way during the budget session which is commencing in Gairsain from Monday. The party is also planning to forcefully raise the issues of unemployment and ever increasing prices in the Assembly. The party leaders also want to keep the issue of the Ankita Bhandari murder case alive by accusing the government for failing to provide justice to Ankita. The party is expected to fine tune its strategy for the session at the meeting of the Congress legislature party in Gairsain on Sunday.

The leader of opposition (LoP) in State Assembly Yashpal Arya told The Pioneer that the Dhami government has proved to be a failure on all fronts. He said that the youngsters of the State are feeling themselves cheated by a series of paper leak cases in different recruitment examinations and it is unfortunate that the State government used brutal force on the unemployed demanding Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the paper leak cases. Arya said that the Congress party stands with the youngsters in the demand of CBI probe and raising the issue in the assembly.  He said that the injustice to the Ankita Bhandari and the deteriorating law and order situation in the State would also be taken up by the party during the Assembly. “We want the government to order a CBI probe in the cases of the paper leaks and in the Ankita Bhandari murder case,’’ he said. Arya added that the issues of farmers, non-payment of dues of the sugarcane farmers, rising prices and the issue of the development authorities would also be taken up during the session.
