Uttarakhand Congress sets up Covid-19 control room

Taking cognizance of increase in the cases of Covid-19 in the state, the Uttarakhand unit of Congress party has set up a control room in the state headquarters of the party. The Vice President of Uttarakhand Congress Surya Kant Dhasmana said that the Congress president Sonia Gandhi has directed the Congress party leaders and workers to stand with the general public during the time of crisis. He said that on the directive of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh a Covid-19 control room has been set up at the Rajiv Bhawan.

The Covid-19 control room includes Vice President Surya Kant Dhasmana, state general secretary Navin Joshi, chairman of social media department Shilpi Arora, state secretary Kavindra Ishtwal, state secretary Vikas Negi and Vijay Bhatt.  Dhasmana said that the PCC president has asked all the presidents of the organisational districts of the party to help the people in the districts and forward necessary information to the PCC. He said that the PCC president has written a letter to the chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat and has assured him that the Congress party would cooperate with the government in this time of crisis.

Expressing deep concern on the increase in the death rate, shortage of Remdesivir, Oxygen and ventilators, Dhasmana demanded that immediate corrective measures should be taken. He also said that the CM should direct the chief secretary, health secretary, director general health services and all district magistrates to cooperate with the Covid-19 control room of the Congress party.
