In protest against what it claims is a conspiracy by the Narendra Modi government to harass Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Uttarakhand Congress will observe a Satyagraha on July 12. The party will hold a protest from 10 AM to 5 PM at Gandhi Park in Dehradun.
A meeting was organised in the State headquarters of the Congress party on Monday to plan steps to make the protest successful. The meeting was chaired by the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Rahul Gandhi is consistently fighting a battle against the corruption of the Modi government.
The government has shown its intention by getting the membership of Lok Sabha of Rahul Gandhi terminated. Mahara said that Rahul Gandhi has consistently said that he is ready to pay any price and would raise his voice in favour of the poor, farmers and labourers. The Congress party has handed over responsibilities to different leaders to make the protest a success.
