Vice president of the Uttarakhand Congress, Suryakant Dhasmana has said that the party will organise protests on September 26 at all district headquarters, demanding a CBI inquiry into Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak issue. He criticised the State government for diverting attention to the so-called ‘Nakal Jihad’ instead of addressing the real problems of paper leaks.
Dhasmana emphasised that the youth of the State are enraged over the UKSSSC exam paper leak and accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of attempting to communalise the issue by labelling the copying mafia as part of a “Nakal Jihad.” He stated that the public is beginning to realise that the ruling BJP is secretly protecting those involved in cheating.
He highlighted that the Congress party has been vigorously addressing the paper leak issue from the beginning and noted that party members are organising daily demonstrations and effigy burnings across the State. On September 26, district metropolitan presidents of the party will lead sit-ins at their respective headquarters and submit a memorandum to the State governor through the district magistrate, urging the State government to request a CBI inquiry under the supervision of the High Court.
Dhasmana warned that if the government does not promptly recommend a CBI inquiry to the centre, the party will march to the chief minister’s residence and Raj Bhavan to press for their demands.
