U’khand Cooperative Bank to recover outstanding dues from defaulters

The Uttarakhand State Cooperative Bank has marked 24 offenders who owe the bank a sum of Rs 176.68 crore. Taking a stern view of these offenders the bank has decided to forfeit their properties and recover dues by auctioning them. On Saturday the general manager (Loans)  Deepak Kumar presided over a virtual meeting with the managers of all the 15 branches of the bank. In the meeting the loan disbursal, Non Performing Assets (NPA) and recovery of loans were discussed in detail.   Kumar directed the bank managers to start recovery of the outstanding loans and NPA and said that the process of auction of the properties of offenders should be initiated. He was informed that the bank has marked 24 major offenders with an outstanding amount of Rs 176.68 crore. The bank has given many reminders to them and has taken other measures but they have not deposited their dues. It was decided that in the first phase the mortgaged property of the Mahakaleshwar Associates will be auctioned by the Haldwani branch of the bank on November 21. Similarly the auction of attached property of Big Bag Food Consortium, Kashipur will be done on November 27.
