On the occasion of Uttarakhand State Foundation Day, tribute was paid to the martyrs and two minutes’ silence was observed in the DSB campus of Kumaun University. Among those who spoke were the director Prof Neeta Bora Sharma, Prof Padam Singh Bisht, Lalit Tiwari, RC Joshi and Prof Harish Bisht. They dwelt in details on those who made supreme sacrifice for the cause of a separate Uttarakhand State. A cleanliness drive was launched in the campus to mark the occasion under the National Service Scheme.
