U’khand gears up for successful hosting of Global Investors Summit

Preparations are in full swing for the Global Investors Summit -2023 slated to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The summit will be organised at Forest Research Institute (FRI) on December 8 and 9. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the campus of FRI on Wednesday to take stock of the preparations. He directed the officers to ensure that all the arrangements being made for the summit get completed in time. He said that the works on the roads and beautification of the city are also going at a fast pace.
Dhami said that the summit will be the biggest event for the State. He informed that memoranda of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 2.5 lakh crore have already been inked and work is being done for grounding of the agreements reached with the representatives of the industry. Dhami said that the summit will help in increasing investment and creating employment opportunities in the State. He said that the State government is giving priority to such investment proposals which will help in creating more employment opportunities in the State. He added that the State government is making an effort to promote local products.
In his visit to FRI, the CM conducted an inspection of the programme site and took stock of the preparations. He also inaugurated a media centre specially prepared for the summit during his visit.
The additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, officiating DGP Abhinav Kumar, secretary Shailesh Bagauli, secretary and Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, additional director general of police AP Anshuman, district magistrate of Dehradun Sonika, director general of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, DG of Industries Rohit Meena and other officers accompanied the CM during the visit.
