U’Khand government working to promote sportsmanship among players: Arya

The Sports minister Rekha Arya has claimed that the State government is committed to promoting sportsmanship and supporting players. She said this during the closing ceremony of a cricket tournament held at Maharana Pratap Sports College on Friday. The tournament began on January 16 and ended on Friday.
The final match was played between Maharana Pratap Sports College and Social Baluni Public School. Maharana Pratap Sports College won the toss and went on to win the match with Social Baluni Public School all out for 40 runs in 10.4 overs and Maharana Pratap Sports College winning by losing only one wicket in seven overs. A player from the sports college, Rahul Negi was named player of the match.
During the ceremony, Arya congratulated the winners and encouraged all the players present to work harder for the future. She said that the State government is consistently working towards promoting sports and supporting players. Arya also advised everyone not to be afraid of defeat in life, but rather to learn from it and work harder to move forward.
It will be recalled that the department, with the approval of the State government, has decided to construct a girl’s sports college in Uttarakhand to promote sportsmanship across the state. The construction of the said college is expected to begin soon.
