U’khand governor lauds Agnipath scheme

The governor lieutenant general (retd) Gurmit Singh met veterans of the Assam regiment at Raj Bhawan on Monday. In the meeting the governor lauded the Agnipath scheme.
The Governor who had served in the Assam regiment shared his experiences during service with the former soldiers. He said that one learns how to live in mutual coordination in the army. The governor said that Uttarakhand is a land of soldiers and there is a spirit of bravery here.
While discussing Agnipath scheme, the Governor said that the training and capability of our warriors (Agniveers) is of high standard. He said that Agnipath is a good scheme and it will increase the youthful profile in our armed forces. The Governor said that he has spoken to the commanders who train the Agniveers, and informed them that the level of training of the Agniveers, mutual competition and the spirit of nation first is high in them.
