U’khand Govt aims for 100 per cent deliveries in hospitals by March 2025

Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the State government is aiming to ensure that by March 2025, 100 per cent of deliveries of pregnant women should take place in hospitals across Uttarakhand. He said this during the inauguration ceremony of RG Hospital in Dehradun on Tuesday.

During the event, Rawat congratulated the officials involved in establishing RG Hospital in Dehradun for their efforts in providing efficient services to patients. He emphasised that the State government is committed to delivering quality health services to the people. Rawat highlighted that earlier, only 11 per cent of deliveries were facilitated in hospitals, but this figure has now increased to 99 per cent. He further informed that under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPMJAY), 60 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued to people across the State with 10 lakh individuals having benefited from free health services so far.

The managing director of RG Hospital, Dr Avinash Ojha said, “This hospital represents not just a healthcare facility, but a vision to improve the overall well-being of our community.”

 Ojha further stated that with a legacy spanning over 38 years, including 17 hospitals nationwide and over 7,50,000 successful procedures, RG Hospitals has redefined excellence in healthcare. The RG hospital in Dehradun is the 18th establishment nationwide providing services with advanced technology. The facility specialises in various areas, including advanced urology care for urinary and kidney stones, prostate issues, male infertility and many others, he added.
