The Uttarakhand Government has cancelled the public holiday on November 24 which was earlier announced to be a holiday on the occasion of Guru Teg Bahadur Jayanti. In an order released on Tuesday, the secretary in charge of the general administration department, Vinod Kumar Suman said that the government has amended the earlier declared order on the holidays and now, December 8 will be a public holiday on the occasion of Guru Teg Bahadur Jayanti. However, this order will not be applicable to the government offices that work only five days a week, he added in the order.
