U’khand govt to fill all vacant posts in school Edu dept

The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that all the vacant posts of administrative officers in the Education department would be filled within a month. He made this assertion while chairing a review meeting of the officers of the department on Friday. He said that a target to fill all the vacant administrative posts ranging from blocks to the education directorate within one month should be taken. He directed that the process of departmental promotions and direct recruitment should be initiated to fill the vacant posts of headmasters, principals and teachers in the department. He said that the officers of the department should take a leaf out of the central universities for having an alternate mechanism in the schools where female teachers take child care leaves (CCL). He directed the officers of the department to prepare a proposal in this regard and bring it before the state cabinet. The minister said that the infrastructural facilities in all the schools of the state should be strengthened. He said every school should have a proper building, boundary, playground, necessary furniture, library, electricity, water and toilet facilities. Rawat directed the officials of the department to prepare district wise proposals to provide infrastructure facilities in all the schools and submit them to the state administration.
The minister who has taken charge of the school education department for the first time recently took stock of the progress of different schemes of union and state government in the department.
