U’khand Govt to prepare master plan for Gangotri & Yamunotri

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the state government is working on preparing a comprehensive master plan for Gangotri and Yamunotri. He said that the master plan will cater to the issue of parking of vehicles, widening of the roads, providing drinking water facility and comfortable stay for the pilgrims. The CM was interacting with media persons at Badkot in Uttarkashi on Friday.
To take stock of the situation at the ground level, Dhami visited Badkot. Apart from inspecting the facilities, he interacted with the pilgrims in Badkot which is an important centre for the Yatra to Yamunotri Dham. The CM inspected the staying facilities and other arrangements. He boarded a bus of the pilgrims to inquire about their well being and the problems being faced by them. Taking feedback he assured the pilgrims that every possible facility will be provided to them. The CM said that in view of an increase in the number of pilgrims, everyone should cooperate. He said that following rules and regulations will help in smooth flow of the Yatra in the State. He said that Char Dham Yatra is very important for Uttarakhand and the State government gives it top priority.
