14th installment of tax devolution to States amounts to Rs 1.40 lakh crore
The State has received Rs 1,583 crore from the Union government which has released the 14th installment of tax devolution to State governments. The total tax devolution released in the 14th installment by the Centre amounts to Rs 1, 40, 318 crore as against the normal monthly devolution of Rs 70,159 crore. According to official sources, this is in line with the commitment of the Government of India to strengthen the hands of States to accelerate their capital and developmental expenditure.
