U’khand seeks central assistance for Rispana-Bindal Elevated Road

PIONEER NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun
The Uttarakhand government has asked for financial assistance from the Central government for the construction of a 26-kilometre Rispana and Bindal Elevated Road project in Dehradun. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated in an event on Wednesday that this proposal is part of the State’s proactive planning to manage the anticipated rise in tourist inflow once the elevated expressway becomes operational.
Highlighting the urgency of addressing future urban challenges, Dhami said that the elevated road will play a crucial role in resolving Dehradun’s growing traffic issues and ensuring smooth connectivity for both residents and the increasing number of visitors.
He also informed that, given the expected surge in tourist numbers and the rise in floating population due to the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, the State has also urged NITI Aayog to provide a special grant to strengthen urban infrastructure and support essential facilities.
