Minister Dhan Singh Rawat is on three-day tour of the southern states
The cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat who is on a three day visit to Kerala has said that Uttarakhand would implement the best practices in education and health sectors adopted by Kerala. In a statement, Rawat said that he is visiting the schools, colleges and hospitals in Kerala and interacting with the students, teachers, doctors and officers on various aspects of education and health related issues. Rawat said that he visited the engineering and Ayurvedic colleges of the state. He said that Kerala is among the leading states of the country in education and health sectors and the innovations and best practices of Kerala would also be implemented in Uttarakhand. The minister said that the experience of Kerala in the telemedicine service would also be adopted in the state. He said that he tried to get an insight into the functioning of the disaster management department of Kerala. The minister also paid obeisance at Shri Padmanabhaswamy temple at Thiruvananthapuram and visited Amritanand Math at Kollam to seek blessings from the Mata Amritanandamayi.
