U’khand to adopt Mumbai’s JJ hospital model- Minister

The Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that the process of functioning of the famous JJ hospital of Mumbai would be adopted in the government medical college hospitals and the district hospitals of Uttarakhand. Rawat toured the Grant Government Medical College and Sir JJ Group of hospitals on Thursday. He interacted with the senior officers of the medical college and hospital, specialists and nursing staff and held elaborated discussions. Rawat said that the procedures adopted by the JJ hospital would be implemented in Uttarakhand and for this a team of senior officers of the health department would soon visit Mumbai. The team would conduct an in-depth study of the medical facilities and the management of the hospital and submit a report to the state government.
Rawat also interacted with the students of the medical college. He was in the hospital for about two hours during which he also talked with the patients and their attendants. He said that the JJ hospital and medical college have been serving people from the last 175 years and efforts would be made to implement the procedures and best practices in the hospitals of Uttarakhand.
