In latest news from Doon, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami pledged to make Uttarakhand an international wedding destination with distinctiveness while interacting with the noted wedding planners of the country via video conferencing. Over 75 wedding planners based in different parts of the country were present during the virtual meeting. While welcoming the suggestions offered by the wedding planners, he said these would be acted upon soon. Invoking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dhami said that inspired by his ‘Wed in India’ exhortation, his government has been moving apace in turning this State into a throbbing wedding destination internationally. While speaking appreciatively of the climate and scenic beauty abounding in the State, the planners said that Uttarakhand is potentially the best wedding destination in the country.
