THURSDAY, 13 October 2022 | PNS | DEHRADUN
The Uttarakhand government had decided to bring an ordinance to restore the 30 percent reservation in the government jobs for the women of the State. The government has also filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the case in the Supreme Court (SC).
In the meeting of the State cabinet held on Wednesday, the cabinet authorized Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to take a final decision on the issue. In a recent decision, the Uttarakhand High Court (HC) had issued a ban on the government order (GO) of the year 2006 giving 30 percent reservation in the government jobs to the women (domiciled) of Uttarakhand. This decision had cast its shadows on the ongoing recruitment process.
