Uttarakhand will hold a convention of the Health ministers of variou States of the country. The convention will be presided over by the Union Health minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The Uttarakhand Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat met the Union Health minister in New Delhi on Tuesday. In the meeting elaborate discussion was held on the convention of the Health ministers and other issues.
Rawat said that a road map for the health services and the schemes would be prepared in the convention. In the meeting, Rawat extended an invitation to Mandaviya to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the satellite centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh in Udham Singh Nagar district.
Rawat said that he expressed gratitude to the Union minister for the support the State government is receiving from the Central government for strengthening health services on the Char Dham Yatra route. He said that the Union Health minister has recently sanctioned an additional budget of Rs 28 crore for strengthening health infrastructure on the Char Dham Yatra circuit.
