U’khand to implement four per cent reservation to secure players’ future

The Sports minister Rekha Arya said that to secure the future of sports players, the government will soon bring up the four per cent reservation in the State for them. She said this on the second day of the 47th Siddhapeeth Shri Kunjapuri Tourism and Development Fair which was organised on Monday in Tehri.
Speaking on the occasion, Arya claimed that the State government is doing everything for the welfare of the children to encourage them to take up sports. She said that the government is consistently making efforts for sports and sportspersons, under which a system of out-of-turn jobs is also being made under the leadership of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The State government is committed to preserving the fairs and promoting and promoting the folk culture of Uttarakhand. The state government is consistently working to ensure that the fairs and culture of the state are not limited to the state and get recognition in the country and abroad. It is also working to ensure that the State’s culture gets an identity on the global stage. Efforts are being made to develop divine places, places of worship and mythological places and establish them on the pilgrimage and tourism map, she added.
Arya further added that to stop the addiction to drugs among the youth which is increasing at an alarming rate, parents must push their children towards sports.
