Women empowerment and child development department enters into a MoU with a Delhi based organisation
With an objective of improving the pre-school education, the Women empowerment and child development department of Uttarakhand has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Delhi based organisation, the Meraki foundation. The MoU was signed in presence secretary H C Semwal and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Meraki foundation Seemant Dadwal.
Under the plan, the capacity building activity of Anganwadi workers and ICDS officers would be undertaken. Similarly efforts would be made to increase participation of parents in preschool activities would be made. The foundation operates a ‘digital parent guideline programme’ and so far more than 15000 families have benefited from it. The deputy director of the department S K Singh, DPO Dehradun Akhilesh Mishra and Akriti Bhatt from Meraki foundation were present on the occasion.
