U’khand to raise SISF on the lines of CISF

The Uttarakhand government has decided to raise the State Industrial Security Force (SISF) for safeguarding banks, airports, helipads, industrial institutions, SIIDCUL and state and central government undertakings in the State. The force will be set up on the lines of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). The additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi chaired a meeting of the officers of the homeguards, industrial institutes, home, civil aviation, banks and SIIDCUL to discuss the work plan for setting up the SISF. She directed the officers to provide information about the supply of security personnel for the banks, airport, helipads, industries, SIIDCUL and state and central government undertakings to the department of home without any delay. She said that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed to set up SISF on the lines of CISF and for this exact data on the number of security forces needed by different institutions and industries is needed. The ACS stressed the need for a responsible and sensitive security force in the State for banks, their chests, industries, helipads and other sensitive establishments. In the meeting the rationale behind handing over the charge of SISF to state homeguards was also discussed. The secretary Dilip Jawalkar, additional chief secretary C Ravishankar, special secretary Riddhim Agarwal, Vimmy Sachdeva and others were present in the meeting.
