U’khand to reap maximum benefits from Investors Summit: CM

In latest Dehradun news, the first meeting of the advisory group on the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023 was held in Dehradun chaired by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The matters which figured in the meeting included the strategy to increase the volume of investment, boosting employment opportunities and giving further impetus to the economic growth of the State. The CM sought suggestions from the entrepreneurs present on how to frame a better investment policy for the State. He directed the officers concerned to ensure that all the suggestions forwarded by the potential investors are treated seriously and implemented. He stressed on further simplifying the investment procedures and drawing more investors through clearing the investment proposals at the earliest. He said that things are conducive in Uttarakhand for large-scale investment. Not just there is peace but the State is rich with human resources, he said and added that the State government would fully train youth according to the requirement of the investors.
Explaining why things are conducive in the State for investment, Dhami said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is now well-placed in terms of road, rail and air connectivity. “We have set a target of Rs 2.5 lakh crore for the summit and we will encourage the entrepreneurs to invest in the mountainous areas, in particular. This will enhance employment opportunities and subsequently, the migration will be arrested,” he said, adding that the summit would enable the local entrepreneurs to get acquainted with the latest developments happening in the global entrepreneurial arena.
