U’khand to receive Rs 3,460 crore special assistance from Centre

The ‘Pride of Hill’, the special provision added in the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) guidelines by the Union government this year is set to benefit Uttarakhand. The special provision has been added to the guidelines of SASCI for the first time and it will provide additional financial assistance to mountain states.

The State will receive an additional allocation of Rs 3,460 crore in the financial year 2026-27. The additional allocation is being billed as a major relief on the economic front to Uttarakhand which will give new impetus to the State’s infrastructure and overall development. 

Apart from this, the State will also get assistance in the form of Untied Funds worth Rs 765 crore, which will enable the State government to implement schemes as per its priorities.

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the special assistance, Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that with the continuous support of the Central government, Uttarakhand is setting new dimensions of development and the state is moving rapidly towards progress.
