Uttarakhand is at the top position in the ranking of the States released by the Election Commission of India (ECI) for the voter awareness campaign on social media for the month of March.
Expressing happiness at the feat, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Uttarakhand BVRC Purushottam has congratulated the social media team.
The director general of information Bansidhar Tiwari held a meeting with the social media team at the media centre in the State secretariat and congratulated nodal officer (Information) Ravi Bijarnia and others for the stupendous feat.
Led by the CEO, the voter awareness campaign was undertaken on a massive scale in Uttarakhand. The creatives on social media on voter awareness were appreciated during the elections.
Services of noted singer Kailash Kher, actors Manoj Vajpayee, Rajpal Yadav, Anirudh Dave, Suraj Thapar, Yash Sinha, Ali Ashar, actress Himani Shivpuri, Archana Puran Singh and Upasana Singh were taken for creating voter awareness on social media platforms. Folk singers Pritam Baratwan, Basanti Bisht, Madhuri Barthwal, Pandavas group, Kishan Mahipal, badminton player Lakshya Sen , You Tuber Saurabh Joshi and Anurag Dobhal also participated in the campaign.
