Ukhand Women Cong leaders extend support to farmers
A group of women leaders of Uttarakhand Congress visited the Ghazipur border on Thursday and extended their support for the agitating farmers.
Addressing the farmers, the former chairperson of state women commission, Sarojini Kaintyura said that people who cannot pay proper price of foodgrain to its producers cannot understand the real worth of farmers. The member of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and spokesperson of Uttarakhand Congress Garima Dasauni said that the farmers have shaken the Delhi Darbar and have shown a new path to the country. She said that the way Narendra Modi government deprived the farmers sitting on agitation from electricity, water and internet facility clearly shows that the government has got scared from the agitation. Dasauni said that she is proud to be associated with the historic agitation. The Congress women leaders also met the farmer leader Rakesh Tikait and expressed their solidarity with the farmers. The general secretary of Uttarakhand Congress Godavari Thapli, Shanti Rawat and Pariniti Badoni were also part of the group.
