U’Khand Yuva Mahotsav winner to be part of National Yuva Mahotsav in Nashik

The Sports and Youth Welfare minister Rekha Arya informed that the winner of Yuva Mahotsav will participate in the National Yuva Mahotsav which will be organised in Nashik from January 12 to 16. She said this in a Press conference held here on Thursday.
Arya said that to instill confidence among the youth, a State Yuva Mahotsav will also be held in Dehradun from January 5 to 9. Additionally, on January 12, the National Youth Day will be celebrated in the State. The Yuva Mahotsav will feature various presentations by young men and Mahila Mangal Dal members. Competitive and non-competitive programmes will be organised which will include competitions in group folk dance, group folk song, solo folk dance, solo folk song, classical dance and classical singing among the districts, with teams able to enter directly through the portal, she added.
Arya said that the Central government has assigned the theme ‘Youth as Job Creator’ for this year’s Yuva Mahotsav. Various departments will set up stalls at the event, where youth groups and self-help groups will sell handicrafts, textiles and agro products. The Mahotsav will also include programmes on career counselling, employment fairs and skill gap analysis related to the needs of the State’s industries. The said programmes will be highly beneficial for the youth, she added.
Arya said that the festival will feature stalls selling various handicrafts, textiles and agro products, as well as products made by self-help groups such as paintings, artistic candles, bamboo items, wooden products, bags and coats and pickles. Stalls selling juice, jam and jelly will also be displayed, and the general public will be able to purchase these items, she added.
Arya further added that they have also directed the regional employment officer of the Employment Department to set up stalls at the Mahotsav for youth career counselling.
