The voting for the urban local bodies ( ULB) elections in Uttarakhand will be held on January 23. The counting of the votes will be done on January 25 and the results are expected on the same day.
The notification for the ULB elections was issued by the Urban Development department on Monday afternoon following which the model code of conduct ( (MCC) has been enforced in the municipal limits of all the 100 local bodies where the elections will be held.
Announcing the dates the State election commissioner Sushil Kumar said that the candidates can purchase their nomination papers from December 27 to December 30. The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on December 31 and January 1 and the symbols will be alloted on January 3.
