In latest news from Uttarakhand, while commenting perhaps for the first time on the firearms-laced brawl involving the present and former MLAs of Khanpur-Umesh Kumar and Kunwar Pranav Singh ‘Champion’ that escalated into a fierce controversy, the senior Congress leader and former chief minister Harish Rawat dubbed the former as ‘a venomous person’ and the latter as ‘Baahubali’, adding that they had been both in the service of the ruling BJP.
Training his gun particularly on Umesh Kumar, he said that he had been instrumental in destabilising his government in 2016 through his infamous sting operation at the behest of the section of the BJP leaders. “He is still serving the interests of the saffron party in one way or the other and that is why while ‘Champion’ was sent to jail he is out on bail,” he wrote in a social media post.
Also, the seasoned politician warned the BJP, saying that an inveterate ‘Vishkanya’ bites the hand that feeds it milk.
