Considering the assault by three purported Kanwadias on some parking lot attendants in Muni Ki Reti on Sunday, the director general of police Abhinav Kumar appealed to Kanwadias to carry out the pilgrimage with a calm and composed mindset while cooperating fully with the police personnel to ensure smooth Yatra. He issued this appeal to all Kanwadias through social media on Monday.
He addressed the Kanwadias and said that like every year, Kanwadias are undertaking this holy journey with devotion and faith in Lord Shiva. This Yatra holds not only religious and spiritual significance but also teaches one lessons of brotherhood, tolerance and hard work. He said, “I urge you all to enjoy this pilgrimage with a calm and composed mindset. Please cooperate fully with the police personnel in organising the Yatra. If you encounter any minor difficulties during the journey, do not get angry. Instead, consider these challenges as part of your penance and address them with patience and dignity. Some anti-social elements might try to create disturbances but do not be swayed by their provocations. Our police force is always ready to assist you in case of any problem or need.”
Kumar further stated that the Police department has made extensive arrangements to ensure the safety and convenience of Kanwadias. They must follow the instructions of the authorities and report any suspicious activity to them immediately, he added.
